The diets didn’t
fail you. Your biology did.

You’ve cut calories. You’ve counted macros. You’ve white-knuckled through “food noise” that never quiets down. Compounded GLP-1 therapy works with your biology instead of against it — with a real coach who stays with you the whole way, not just a prescription and a goodbye.

Which of These Sounds Like You?

Every one of these has a real,
clinician-prescribed answer.

You don’t need more willpower. You need a program built around what’s actually happening in your body.

🔄

Tried Everything, Nothing Sticks?

Keto, intermittent fasting, calorie counting, a gym membership you actually used — and the weight came back anyway. GLP-1 therapy reduces the hunger signal itself, so the plan doesn’t depend on willpower alone.

📈

Progress Stalled at a Plateau?

Lost some weight, then hit a wall that won’t move no matter what you cut or add? Tirzepatide’s dual GIP+GLP-1 mechanism is specifically studied for stronger results when single-pathway approaches stop working.

🧪

PCOS, Insulin Resistance, or Prediabetes?

If your weight gain is tangled up with blood sugar and insulin resistance, diet and exercise alone often aren’t enough. GLP-1 medications directly improve insulin sensitivity — addressing the mechanism, not just the symptom.

🎯

Done Doing This Alone?

Medication changes your biology. It doesn’t rebuild your relationship with food, sleep, stress, or movement by itself. Every plan includes a licensed CMA coach — bi-weekly, real sessions, not an app reminder.

The Science

Why GLP-1 works when
diets don’t

Your body isn’t broken. It’s fighting against you — and winning. Compounded GLP-1 medications work with your biology to silence the hunger signals that have been sabotaging every diet you’ve ever tried.

🧠

Resets Your Brain’s Hunger Set-Point

GLP-1 signals the hypothalamus to reduce hunger — not willpower, actual neurological hunger reduction. “Food noise” quiets within days of starting.

🍽️

Slows Gastric Emptying

Food moves slower through your digestive system, extending fullness and naturally reducing portion sizes — without counting a single calorie.

🧪

Regulates Blood Sugar & Insulin

Stabilizes post-meal glucose spikes — breaking the blood sugar crash cycle that drives afternoon cravings and evening overeating.

Supports Metabolic Health Broadly

Clinical evidence shows benefits beyond weight: reduced cardiovascular risk markers, improved liver function, and lower systemic inflammation.

BMI Calculator

What’s my BMI?

Body Mass Index (BMI) is a screening measure that compares your weight to your height. It’s the same standard formula used by the CDC and WHO — and it’s one of the factors Bold You uses to route you to the right program.

This is an educational estimate only, not medical advice. BMI doesn’t account for muscle mass, bone density, or body composition. Real program eligibility is confirmed by a licensed provider during your intake review.

Medical Disclaimer: Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide referenced on this page are produced at FDA-registered 503A and 503B compounding pharmacies and are not FDA-approved finished drug products. They contain the same active pharmaceutical ingredients as certain brand-name GLP-1 medications but are not the same products. All patients are individually reviewed by a licensed independent physician before any prescription is issued. Eligibility is determined by your provider based on your clinical profile. Common Questions

Everything you’re wondering
before you start

Straight answers. No fluff. If your question isn’t here, our care team responds in under 4 hours.

Is this the same medication as brand-name GLP-1 medications?+
Our programs use the same active pharmaceutical ingredients — semaglutide or tirzepatide — formulated and dispensed by FDA-registered 503A and 503B compounding pharmacies. These are not the same as FDA-approved finished drug products, but the active compounds are identical. Compounded GLP-1 medications are legal under current FDA enforcement policy when prescribed by a licensed provider and dispensed by a state-licensed compounding pharmacy. Your provider reviews your full health history before prescribing.
How is Bold You different from Henry Meds or Ro?+
Three key differences: (1) Care coaching is included in every Bold You plan — Henry Meds and Ro charge extra or don’t offer it at all. (2) Our pricing is flat-rate — you pay the same each month regardless of your dose level. Competitors widely raise prices as doses increase during titration. (3) Bold You is one of the only compounded GLP-1 telehealth platforms actively serving South Carolina, where Henry Meds has no coverage.
What side effects should I expect?+
GLP-1 medications most commonly cause nausea, reduced appetite, and occasional fatigue in the first 2–4 weeks of titration. Most patients describe these as mild and temporary. Your care coach covers side effect management in your first session, and your provider is available for async consultation at any time. In most cases, dosing adjustments resolve persistent side effects. Serious adverse events are rare; your provider monitors for them throughout treatment.
How long does it take to receive my medication?+
From your approved consultation, your compounded medication is sent to our FDA-registered pharmacy partner. Pharmacy processing takes 5–7 business days. Total time from consultation approval to medication in hand is typically 7–10 days. You’ll receive tracking via email and SMS the moment it ships. Injectable medications are shipped with cold-chain packaging to maintain efficacy.
Will I regain weight when I stop?+
Research shows some weight can return after stopping GLP-1 medications — this is a real consideration. That’s exactly why the Bold You coaching program focuses on behavioral habits, nutrition patterns, and lifestyle infrastructure throughout treatment, not just appetite suppression. Patients who complete the 13-module coaching curriculum and transition to a maintenance protocol retain significantly more of their results. Your coach discusses maintenance options starting at Month 4. See The Maintenance Protocol → for exactly what that looks like.
Do I need to see a doctor in person?+
No in-person visit required. Most Bold You providers conduct initial consultations asynchronously — reviewing your intake form and health questionnaire without a live call. Some clinical situations may require a synchronous video visit, which your provider will coordinate directly. Follow-up check-ins are conducted by phone, video, or email on a schedule that fits your life — self-service scheduling is coming soon to the Patient Portal.
Can I use my FSA or HSA card?+
Yes. Bold You Wellness accepts FSA and HSA payment cards. GLP-1 medications prescribed for a qualifying medical condition are generally FSA/HSA-eligible. We recommend confirming eligibility with your FSA/HSA administrator, as rules can vary by plan and employer. We provide itemized receipts for reimbursement purposes upon request.
