Know your numbers before you start.

These four calculators use the same real formulas and guidelines Bold You’s providers and coaches reference every day — BMI, daily calorie needs, protein targets, and hydration. None of them replace a licensed provider, but they’ll help you understand your own body before your first intake, and make more sense of your program once you’re on one.

Tool 1 of 4

Body Mass Index (BMI)

BMI compares your weight to your height using a standard formula used by the CDC and WHO. It’s a screening tool, not a diagnosis — but it’s one of the first things a provider looks at, and it’s exactly how Bold You routes new patients to the right program (BMI 20–26 for Metabolic Microdosing, BMI 27+ for full GLP-1 therapy).

Why it matters here

Your BMI is one of the first things your intake reviews — knowing it ahead of time helps you understand which program you’ll likely be matched to before you even take the quiz.

What to do with your result

Use it as a starting point, not a verdict. Your actual eligibility is always confirmed by a licensed provider who looks at your full health picture, not just one number.

What’s my BMI?

Body Mass Index (BMI) is a screening measure that compares your weight to your height. It’s the same standard formula used by the CDC and WHO — and it’s one of the factors Bold You uses to route you to the right program.

This is an educational estimate only, not medical advice. BMI doesn’t account for muscle mass, bone density, or body composition. Real program eligibility is confirmed by a licensed provider during your intake review.
Tool 2 of 4

Daily Calorie Needs (TDEE)

Total Daily Energy Expenditure is roughly how many calories your body burns in a day. It’s calculated with the Mifflin-St Jeor equation — the formula most widely used in clinical nutrition — adjusted for your reported activity level.

Why it matters here

GLP-1 medications work partly by reducing how much you eat relative to this number. Knowing your baseline helps you and your coach make sense of what’s actually happening as your appetite changes.

What to do with your result

Don’t chase an aggressive deficit on your own. Your coach helps translate this number into a realistic, sustainable eating pattern alongside your medication.

How many calories do I actually burn?

Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) is roughly how many calories your body uses in a day, including activity. It’s calculated using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation — the formula most widely used in clinical nutrition today.

This is an educational estimate only, not medical advice. Actual calorie needs vary by metabolism, health conditions, and medication. Real nutrition guidance comes from your coach and licensed provider.
Tool 3 of 4

Protein Target

Muscle loss on GLP-1 therapy is primarily a protein and training gap, not something the medication itself causes. Bold You coaches set every patient’s target between 1.6–2.2g of protein per kg of body weight, starting from Session 1.

Why it matters here

Reduced appetite on GLP-1 makes hitting any protein target harder. Most uncoached patients undereat protein without realizing it — this number gives you something concrete to aim for.

What to do with your result

Use the range as a target, not a rule. Your coach narrows it down based on your training load and adjusts it every session.

How much protein do I need to protect muscle?

On GLP-1 therapy, muscle loss is primarily a protein and training gap, not something the medication itself causes. Bold You coaches set every patient’s target at 1.6–2.2g of protein per kg of body weight — see where you land.

This is an educational estimate only, not medical advice. Individual protein needs vary by kidney function, medical history, and training load — always confirm with your provider or coach.
Tool 4 of 4

Hydration Target

Hydration has an outsized effect on GLP-1 side effects like nausea and constipation — enough that it’s its own dedicated module in Bold You’s coaching curriculum. This uses a commonly cited general wellness guideline, not a clinical prescription.

Why it matters here

Many early GLP-1 side effects improve with better hydration and meal timing — before assuming you need a dose adjustment, hydration is worth ruling out first.

What to do with your result

If you have a heart, kidney, or other condition affecting fluid intake, this guideline may not apply to you — talk to your provider first.

How much water should I be drinking?

Hydration has an outsized effect on GLP-1 side effects — it’s the subject of an entire module in Bold You’s coaching curriculum. This uses a commonly cited general wellness guideline (about half your body weight in ounces) — not a clinical prescription.

This is an educational estimate only, not medical advice. Fluid needs vary by climate, activity, and medical conditions (including some heart and kidney conditions where fluid intake must be limited) — always confirm with your provider.
